Dear friends & colleagues,
There has been a vast explosion of new information relating to the hair science and surgery. Moreover this information is no longer of interest only to the small but growing speciality of hair restoration surgeons. Clinicians and scientists from a wide variety of disciplines have come to recognize both the importance of hair in fundamental biological processes and the broad implications of understanding the pathogenesis of hair loss. As a result, there is now a multidisciplinary and worldwide interest in progress of hair loss management.
Similarly the techniques of hair restoration have been advancing relentlessly. Improved survival and optimum density is being achieved almost routinely with follicular unit transplant. Again technological advances in donor area harvesting maximising yield with strip excision are becoming commonly used. Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is now being practised by a larger number of practitioners due to expanded spectrum of eligible candidates due to technological advances.
With these factors in mind, we have structured the scientific sessions HAIRCON 2012 which will have something for everyone.
Our international faculty consists literally of the who’s who in the field of hair restoration and they will be presenting the newer techniques and advances.
We look forward to hosting all of you here.
